How do the stories of your past affect you? Be specific about how you feel when you remember the past. Internalize what you were responsible for. Forgive yourself. Your past has no meaning or power on your present or future unless you are feeling those feelings from the past in the present. Allow the feeling to pass when it is triggered in the present so that it will not stick with you! You cannot erase what has happened but you can use the power of choice to heal from it.
